What are they called?

Is it mooses or meeses? I have never been given the right answer. Do Canadians really just rub noses for kissing?

It is moose. And as to kissing we do it like everyone else.

"Eskimos" prefer to be called "Inuit", except in the Western Arctic where older Inuit still use the term Eskimo to refer to themselves. The "rubbing of noses" is NOT kissing: it's more like a nose rub and a sniff, against either another nose or a cheek, and it's usually done between parents/grandparents and their (grand)kid(s) as a sign of affection. The word for it in Inuktitut - the Inuit language - is "kunik" (pronounced the way it sounds).
