This sounds great!! You will have a great time. I would recommend that you talk to the spa about the birthday packages they have. I am sure that there is a great deal or even freebies on certain things...also, during the daytime, perhaps you can research some boutiques, etc and then go shopping during the day, while your mom is at work and have the taxi take you back and forth, for safety...there are sites that you can check out...it sounds like you are staying out of the nightlife segment...which probably is a good idea...but you can shop on Dennis street, The main and even St Catherine street, and the shopping there is great! Grab a coffee from the local cafe, take a book with you and just relax and enjoy the outdoors....!! have fun and happy birthday! |

you should have fun at the spa.
but durin the day you could go shopping downtown and in the eatons center and underground city.
as for your birthday you can go to a fancy restaurant along crescent street. |

You don't specify your interests, so I'll just suggest a couple things that I know are enjoyable to most people.
Check out pollstar.com and see what musical acts happen to be in Montreal on the day(s) you are here. I do this a lot when I travel and it's fun to see a musical group you like in a different city. Montreal attracts big names, so you never know what you will find.
I suggest you and your Mom go down to the Old Port of Montreal and walk around, taking in the sights. When you feel like it, check out a place called Nelson Gardens. It's a gorgeous bistro/restaurant with a big open garden area where you can sit and enjoy a bit to eat, a glass of wine, and some live jazz on most evenings in the summer months. |

I DON'T live in Montreal but i just came back about a week ago from my 2 week vacation and my cousins have lived there their whole lives - their in their early 20's - i suggest you go to old port too i went there and they have lovely views! You might just want to go to downtown and walk around... I'm not sure where you live but i live in south florida where they have no mountains so my cousin took us hiking and you get a nice view. Your gonna want to take your camera to the places you go! |

Dont really have any idea what to do in Montreal. But I dont suggest running around anywhere alone in a city you are unfamiliar with. I would call the spa and schedule an entire day of relaxation. Massages, facials, pedicures and manicures. Go get your hair dyed and cut. Maybe you could talk to the hotel and find out what they could recommend for someone flying solo. |
