I can tell you that French is not spoken in B.C cities.

We have Hindi spoken.
Mandarin and Catonese communities.
We have a growing Hispanic community.

There are some schools that offer French immersion classes but there are no French classes in B.C.public schools.

I am not sure why because it is one of our official languages and I still speak it when I can but I have gone decades without having a conversation in French in Canada
There are more people speaking French in Acapulco Mexico than B.C

No cities in BC are predominantley French speaking. And my sincere condolances on your French heritage...good luck to you.
