What city in Canada is located on an island?

There are a lot of cities that are out on Islands, or not attached to the mainland of Canada.

QUEBEC
Montreal
Gatineau

NEW BRUNSWICK
Fredricton
Moncton
St. Johns

NOVA SCOTIA
Halifax
Darmouth
Yarmouth

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
Charlottetown
Summerland

NEWFOUNDLAND
Gander
Goosebay
St. Johns

VANCOUVER ISLAND/ GULF ISLANDS
Victoria
Port Hardy
Nanaimo
Port Alberni
Saanich
Qualicum Beach
Courtenay
Duncan
Comox
Parksville

QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS
Masset
Sandspit
Hakaii

Those are just some of the cities that are on islands within Canada, I am sure that there are way more, but those are some examples.

Nova Scotia has plenty of cities, Dartmouth and Halifax being the biggest ones. In British Columbia the capital Victoria is also on Vancouver Island.. etc.

Prince Edward Island's capital is Charlottetown or something like that..

in Quebec you'll find Montreal on an island..

all that I can think of

oh, St. John's Newfoundland Laborador.. is also on an Island

hope that helps.

.
victoria, bc

biochemlover
Charlottetown and Summerside Prince Edward Island, which is on the south-eastern part of Canada

Randy B
Lots of them. Montreal, anything on Vancouver Island, anything on Prince Edward Island, anything on the island of Newfoundland...

Let's not forget Laval, QC, on the island just north of Montreal. Actually, yes, let's forget it.
Nanaimo, home of Nanaimo bars!

An alternate question: which island in a lake contains a lake with an island in it? (in Canada)

Chris I
Montreal IS an island.

freeside49
richmond, BC is an island.... probably the only island city in Canada with so many palm trees (they plant them as roadside trees there along main drag) there not california 50 foot high palms but some are over 15 feet now.

but my vote for "island city would be Montreal as the heart is truly an island. Victoria is really just one small settlement on the edge of a huge island.
