There are many Torontonians who would like to live some place other than Toronto the Dull.
However, most would prefer to live in Victoria, Vancouver, BC. or
Halifax than in the USA.

I lived in Toronto all my life, moving to a small town just west of T.O. about 2 years ago. I couldn't stand Toronto any more....the people are rude, the driving is chaotic, the pollution is unbearable, the crime is out of control and so much more.

Although I have a somewhat poor opinion of Toronto, if I had to choose between living in a coachroach infested 1 bedroom apartment in Rexdale or moving to a sprawling mansion in any city / town or state in the US; I'd pick Toronto any day of the year; even the cold ones. Even though Toronto has it's problems; it also has a lot of good.

I AM CANADIAN!!!

What a strange question?

I have been to many cities in the US both small and big. Each city (wherever it is) has good things about it and bad things about it. But honestly and comparatively...I wouldn't trade the diversity, security, and overall attitude of Toronto and its residents for ANYWHERE in the US (even the places with palm trees)....

Toronto is better than all cities in U.S. and A. because here only police and criminal organizations have Gun and can kill anyone they like, in particular black people.Butt in U.S. and A. everyone has Gun, which is too dangerous for Canadian traveling there to sell drugs!

no city in the U.S tops Toronto as WE ARE CANADIAN and would never leave this great and free country to live in a country at war and run by Bush

Toronto is an awesome city! I would really doubt that there is a US city that is comparable. Many go south but that is for the warm weather, nothing to do with the city itself.

Toronto Rocks!!!!

I've been to most of the major cities in the U.S., they have their positives and their negatives like Toronto. But I would never leave my Toronto for another city.

Why would you think that any city in the US would appeal more to us than our beloved TO?

It depends on whether I am talking about the weather and the lifestyle. I have lived in New York and wouldn't consider living there again. Toronto is a great city however high cost of living makes it very unattractive as well as people who are very educated and experienced are not able to get the opportunity they would easily access in the US. for this I would say the US has the upper hand.
We are culturally different countries and what is great about one country is sad about the other.

I have travelled to Florida and have vacationed there as well. I love Palm Beach and would settle there any day.

I beleive toronto has a lot of hype regarding tourism, to the people who reside here the everyday living is monotonous. Work, home, house work, work , taxed, home, house work, taxed

No US city is better to live in than Toronto. I'm a proud Canadian and would never trade in my city for one that is in a country at war, Besides,we don't have to live with George W. Bush.

I agree with the last answerer, Toronto is a real Hell.
Even all Canadian hate Toronto...there are thieves everywhere.
A taxi fair that may cost in New York $10; in Toronto may cost $100 as the taxi drivers are very dishonest.
Same as restaurant so dirty and waiters are so rude.

Toronto police is everywhere for minor traffic violation charging us and forcing people for 'nude search in the street' as complaint by a woman tourist

Myself, I hate Toronto very much. It is not 'City' that have culture it is like a Jail with all kinds of police, security and Cameras everywhere, no freedom whatsoever.

Richard
Any city in the World is better than Toronto, because there is a lot of crimes and corruption in Toronto...everyone uses F*** words everywhere....U can't go to a restaurant as men and women sitting around u just using F**** words in each sentence few times...
" My F**** doctor told me that I have this F**** illness what a F*** she was talking...."

American never appreciate the great FREEDOMS that they have in all cities, Toronto and other few big cities in Canada are like Army Courts.
No freedom whatsoever, of course for drugs, prostitution and hemo sexual there are all kinds of freedoms that even they walk NUDE in Church Street or selling all kinds of sexual tools in the 'Windows' of Yonger Street.

So it is my position that Toronto is not a 'City' with definition that the History has given for a 'City'.

In Europe, there are large building or streets that only prostitute having business, or drug sellers. Toronto is such market that everyone is a crook even judges, lawyers, police, bankers, pilots, doctors.
