the leat in the middle symbolizes the maple tree, which can be found all across canada.

the 2 red bars on the outsides symbolize the pacific and atlantic oceans. there is no symbol on the flag for the arctic ocean.

Why should anyone answer you truthfully? I just saw three of your answers to others that were complete jibberish. Do you think that entitles you to a valid answer for your questions?

EDIT: Someone must have reported it, since I see your answers that contained no real words just "jhdj jhgdkqj wqhjgd" have been removed. Good luck on the exam.

The red leaf is the Canadian maple leaf - that's a symbol of Canada that can be found in every province. The red bars represent the east and west coast. the flag was adopted in 1967, by then prime minister Lester B. Pearson. Prior to that, Canada flew the Union Jack.
