Aside from jealous neighbours, pine beetle decimating the forests in B.C. and Alberta, Arctic soverignty, thirsty people south of us(both oil and fresh water), not a heck of a lot. Sure, we have a few things to straighten out with our healthcare system but Canada has so much to offer both us and the World that our biggest problem will be what to do with all the beachfront property if global warming continues at it's current pace. Our problems are minor compared to most areas of the World, our problem will be keeping it that way. |

health care?? no way ...people who complain are idiots .Yes sometimes we have to wait because the fact that unlike the USA and many pther countries its open to all canadiens but the fact is when we wait its because the most severe cases/urgent goes first.IN all my surgeries when I have been urgent I have never waited only whe I was not an emergency that they might place some other first ...as oppose to americans who have to pay thousand on their own and even the health insurance companies they pay into fail them !
Recently a teenager died she was 17 due to the fact the insurance company her parents were paying changed their mind and decided they would not pay the 10,000 for her liver (could be kidney cant remember)transplant .
in canada she would not of had to worry and since she was serious yes she probably would of been placed abouve some other waitting for minor surgery ...sorry some canadiens are just ignorant in that way of thinking that they complain .
If anything I agree its a jeuvenile system !
and decitful politicians using tax payers money for their own pleasure(but I guess thats everywhere) |

Because of the abundance and privilege here, I think Canada's biggest problem is apathy. We're starting to develop a consumer/capitalist/materialist ambience that is reflective of our neighbour to the south. Why else would the streets of Victoria be filled to capacity with the homeless, and why else would we be losing the world's perception of us as kind, generous people? |

our biggest threat is following our greedy neighbour to the south,Steve Harper's desire to lick GWB's asz,and follow their bidding, change our laws ,conform to their way of doing things.
imagine if we cut them off from oil and water, the tanks and troops would roll north over the border, probably because they would say we have weapons of mass destruction...lol
why does the FBI,DEA,hom. sec., all have branches up here?
do we have RCMP or cisa in USA????
it's a known fact the RCMP take orders from the Yankees
to sum it up our biggest problem is USA. |

One might want to write a book about such question.
1. It would depend on the geographic location of your residence.
2. Your age.
3. Your country or province of origin
4. Your preference with respect to language.
In my own scenario the answer would have to be Canada's immigration philosophy.
This has changed substantially since I immigrated in 1965.
My understanding was that I integrate and become what was expected from a landed immigrant. My obligation was to follow the laws of Canada and thus I would be rewarded with a citizenship 5 years later.
Guess what, we are now following minority groups who refrain from integration, who do not feel any obligation to follow our laws and who wish to see it their ways(with the help of silly human rights advocates) and who ultimately bring about discord, lawlessness and friction to this nation.
So what's wrong here? Change back to the stringent measures of the sixties when approval to immigrate was an honour.
It proud moment in my life as I recall and a secure place to live. Where are the guaranties now? |

Its biggest problem is that, compared to the rest of the world, it doesn't have any problems.
Canadians get frustrated when they have nothing to complain about.
So they move to the U.S. where there's lots. |
