Toronto is a wonderful and beautiful city. I have lived all over Canada and for an urban lifestyle you cant beat it. I see some negative comments ala "full of ignorant people" "Canada hates Toronto" are actually very ignorant. Toronto is clean and extremely multicultural and is consistently rated one of the highest quality of life cities in the World. There really is something for everyone here and you cant say that about every city in Canada. Some Torontonians are very self loathing and dont realize how good they have it including Space Oddity. The whole Canada hates Toronto is something created by the media and the movie Everybody hates Toronto is just trying to exaggerate and make a buck off of what the media has created. From my experience people across Canada like toronto, and the ones who dont havnt spent much time or have never been in the city because this city is so vibrant and wonderful and the only reason you would have to hate it is that you dont like the big city life. As for Toronto creating crappy tv programs, Toronto is the media center of Canada, almost 1/3 of Canadians live within 2 hours of Toronto and anyone who understand economics would understand that you would only invest in programs that will get the most viewers and playing to your base is smart. All in all Toronto is my favorite city in Canada and I would highly recommend it to live, its not the greatest place to visit but it is a wonderful place to live. Hope this helps.

i live near Toronto in suburban Detroit .no i say it has a favor different than American cities. It is very clean and exciting, and quite multicultural

I've been there last June and I should say it was fantastic the people are friendly and it's an open city like you can do whatever you want and they dont care it's like a baby NYC

i am going soon to the downtown area...i heard it was like NYC but smaller [or course] i can't wait! :D

Most Canadians who don't live in Toronto hate Toronto (or dislike it at least). Especially anyone from Montreal or Ottawa (including myself). It's nothing against the individual persons of course, it's more because there's a feeling that emanates from Toronto that it believes itself to be the centre of the universe. And we all get bombarded with crappy TV programming from Toronto (e.g. really bad hockey, Ron McLean).

Actually, a documentary was made recently called "Let's all hate Toronto" (no joke). It looks interesting. I saw a clip on it and I seem to remember that people in Vancouver hated Toronto the most (not what I would've guessed). Anyway, I'm rambling.
