You are likely to see snow if you travel to any of the nearby mountains, but in Vancouver itself, chances are you won't. In fact, the probability of a white Christmas in Vancouver is around 11 percent (http://www.islandnet.com/~see/weather/eyes/whitexmas.htm)
It'll probably be raining. Or sunny. But snow is unlikely. Here's a hint: Vancouver's climate is very similar to Seattle's. |

You can go to the Whistler village,Black comb mountains to see/go snow boarding there
or go to Grouse mountain,Mt.Seymour....etc.
Enjoy snowing. |

No, you will not find snow in Vancouver during the winter months. It does snow though in the local mountains. Vancouver is cold and damp at this time of year - lots and lots of rain. If you are looking for a "white" Christmas then may I suggest Whistler which is an hour and a half drive north from Vancouver. There is lots of snow there because it's at a high elevation.
Cheers,

Vancouver on Christmas Day is a lot like December 24th and Boxing Day (December 26th). It is a good place as long as you avoid Americans. Yes, you probably will see snow, but nobody can predict the weather.
Have fun and spend lots of money to help the Canadian economy. |

Are you looking for snow? Then don't come to Vancouver. There's snow on the mountains, and snow up at Whistler, but in Vancouver? It will probably be like most Christmases and either rain or be cloudy with some sunshine.
Last year was an anomolie. We had lots of snow throughout the winter, and it got quite cold (-20 C) in spells.. But usually Vancouver winters are relatively mild and quite rainy.
If you do decide to come to Vancouver (depending on what the weather is like, you might be able to enjoy the winter wonderland on Grouse Mountain and then end the day with a walk on the beach. |

Very unlikely that you will see snow in Vancouver. You would have to head for the mountains. I would bet money on it raining actually. |
