The answer is obvious, CANADA !!!

People are much more friendly
It is easier to immigrate there, canadians welcome immigration and value foreigners
You have health care free
It is safer
Canadian dollar is stronger than USD
It is more beautiful, just look at the landscapes
In Canada people are not ignorant, nor fat
Winter only lasts 3 months in Canada, look, it's April and I'm wearing a t-shirt all the time !
Canadians acknowledge there are other countries and are much more cultural understandable with outsiders
U won't have to take off your shoes at the CN tower in Canada
They Canadians don't treat people like animals at the airports !

Charlie
This question is on Answers almost daily...sometimes several times a day. Always makes me wonder...WHY do you think one is better than the other? They are two different countries...with many similarities and many differences. But one is NOT BETTER than the other. Many People have the "grass is always greener" syndrome and want to live in the other country...they idealize "foreign' places and think the answer to their problems is to move. This is seldom true. gov't in the U.S. is not perfect...gov't in Canada is not perfect. There is crime in the U.S....there is crime in Canada. Prices go up in the U.S....prices go up in Canada....no place is perfect and we take our personal problems with us no matter where we go. So...PLEEEZE no more of these "which is better" questions.

Good answer Charlie. I agree totally. I think many people ask this question who either honestly think they will get an objective answer, or they do it to provoke the American and Canadian patriotic spirit and cause a series of flames to each other.

When you leave the question so ambiguous and open, it is bound to be the target of trolls and you won't get a valid answer.

So I would ask you this: Is Canada or US better for what? Crime prevention? Education? World Peace? Or something more trivial, like comic book selections? Authentic chinese food?

Put your question in context and we will try to give you a "better" answer.

It's a matter of personal choice. It would also depend upon the regions/areas in Canada and the U.S. They both have many pros and cons; my opinion is that are are equal.

That's one of those questions that can provoke endless discussion on a rainy day, but doesn't have any real purpose. Better in what regard? Standard of living? Standard of medical care? Population density? Standard of education? etc.etc.etc.
Which country is best is the one you like best and as everyone has personal preferences, there is no 'right' answer. Just whatever is right for you.

Canada

why is it that people compare other countries... there are many good things and bad things in both the countries.. im a canadian, so obviously, i'd support my country.. but you sound like an american to me.. and you would support your country.. there is no point in comparing

Could you be more specific, please? There are too many similarities and differences between the two countries.
