These are pretty open questions, but I'll answer the best I can.

What is it like being a teenager in Canada: It's like being a teenager anywhere else!

What do you do on weekends: The normal. Shop, sports, just hanging out etc.

Any funny stories: Lots of funny stories. Most of them involve me and my weird friends. We have too many inside jokes to keep track of!

Things you can't do anywhere else: Say you're from Canada. Pretend you live in an igloo. Say 'eh' a lot to people that aren't from Canada so they think your weird. Be totally obsessed with hockey. Be proud of Canada. Adore the National Anthem.

What are the people like: Overall, nice, kind, friendly people.

Where are they from: Many from Canada. But we have sooo many immigrants. SO all over the world!

Is it easy to make friends: I'd say generally easy, since there's so many different kinds of people.

Are people mostly well off: We have issues just like other places. But I'd say more than not are happy with their lives.

Basically what is the inside scoop about being a teenager in Canada: Study, have friends, set goals, and have a good time. Not much else to say!

Winters are freezing sometimes - 40 c. We stay inside...go to movies...skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing.

Summer is hot about 28- 38 c. We so swimming int he lakes. Camping. Canada's Wonderland!!! The CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) and go on all the rides. Science Centre.

It is fun here!

the 18 year drinking age in my province, and 19 in most the others is awesome. The pot is good and cheap... and not that bad of a crime...

WRESTLING GRIZZLY BEARS AND RIDING WILD MOOSE. Is definitely something you can't do anywhere else. Probably shouldn't do that here either... But you could if you wanted...

Um, on weekends during the winter, I play Hockey on Saturdays and Sundays. Actually, I play hockey every night from november till april lol. The people are AMAZINGLY nice and polite (for the most part) and very helpful if you need it. Yeah, if you're a good person, its easy to make friends, just like it is anywhere else. I LOVE being a teenager in Canada, there's so much to do!!! Plus, if you do anything like go to the movies and stuff, theres like no one there :)

um, i lived in the county so the most i could do was go to the movies everyonce and a while, ride my bike around and hang out with my friends that lived in town, sometimes i worked on town clean ups, helped my neighbours bail hay, paint fences (one of the most boring jobs!) and pick corn for extra money (i'm totally serious) i liked it, highschool was a drag, but who really likes highschool???

While none of these questions could get a precise answer (this varies a lot from person to person, and isn't much different from other countries) there is one big difference from the United States: underage drinking is no big deal. While it is technically illegal to drink under 18 or 19, it is not a crime, only a civil infraction with a fine and you don't lose your driver's license. Enforcement is much less strict and the overall attitude towards alcohol use by teenagers is much more relaxed. So here, if you attend a party with alcohol while underage, you don't have to worry about getting a lifetime criminal record or losing your driver's license. That's why I think Canada is a better place for teens than the United States.
