Me

What is it like to live in Toronto?

How is the cultural life and how is the standard of living for the average person? I'm really fascinated by this amazing city that I would love to visit one day.

Are Torontians friendly, generally speaking? lol
Additional Details
Sorry, I meant Torontonians. lol

Toronto is a beautiful city to live. It is a city that never sleeps, a city that never judges anyone, since it is uniquely multicultural. It has different blocks splling with culture such as china town, little italy, portugal place, etc.

There are a million and one things to do in Toronto. Of course there is no "best" thing to do in Toronto, it's all about your interests and willingness to explore.

You could find anything in Toronto.

I love this city.

Toronto's population is cosmopolitan and international, reflecting its role as an important destination for immigrants to Canada. Toronto is one of the world's most diverse cities by percentage of non-native-born residents, as about 49% of the population were born outside of Canada. Because of the city's low crime rates, clean environment, generally high standard of living, and friendlier attitudes to diversity, Toronto is consistently rated as one of the world's most livable cities by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Hi there,

I lived in Toronto for 5 years. It is a nice, multicultural place, but I live somewhere in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) now, and it is a cleaner, much safer city than Toronto in my view. Others would say Torontonians are cold or arrogant, and some people dislike us, but people are people no matter where they come from and it depends on the person. There are really nice folks there, and it is a civil place. What I love about it is my friends in school were from different backgrounds: Muslim, black, Indian, etc. I myself was an immigrant. It is an accepting culture.

I love living here - the city is full of life & culture, and there is no shortage of things for us to do as a family with young children.

What makes Toronto so unique is it is a city full of fabulous ravines & green spaces. These ravines offer hiking & biking trails and lots of green space, and also form the boundaries of quaint neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood has it's own little "business centre" so you can walk to fabulous & unique shops & restaurants without needing to travel across the city. You also get lots of unique mom & pop stores in the neighbourhoods rather than big box stores.

We have friendly people, a very clean subway for a large city, and relatively low crime overall. This depends of course on where you are, so I'm guessing the guy who says he hides in the bushes lives in an area most people would never visit or choose to live in if given a choice.

I think torontonians are friendly yes. Living in this city is awesome, i love it. there is so much to discover, different ethnicity's,their food,customs,art...
It's just fun. I consider myself average and can afford a nice living, can go out clubbing whenever i want or go shopping,go for my vacation etc. without giving too much thought about my finances.
P.S. If you're not cold and distant people will be nice. Who wants to talk to someone who doesn't smile or say hi

Jesus Christ
its terrible only the rich people can afford food and when i say food i mean barley any food what you think is left overs we think is a feast

Every day is like fighting in a war ( bring a gun with you ) when i walk to school i have to hide in the bushes for fear of getting shot.
