I love living in Vancouver!!
It's one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
It is a very dog-friendly city, with lots of parks, and lots of off leash areas as well.
Speaking of the parks, Stanley park is amazing and wonderful, but all the neighborhood and other parks are too.
You can go skiing just outside the city on Grouse Mountain. Its about a 20 minute drive from the downtown city area. You can see the ski run from the city.
There are so many waterways, water is everywhere, as are some great beaches. Right in the city.
Shopping, shopping, shopping ... modern or quaint, take your choice.
Vancouver is very much a city of neighborhoods, it doesn't feel so much like a big city.
Yes, it has it's "bad" area (downtown east side) ... just like every other city.
Life in Vancouver? Can be whatever you want from it ... quiet or lively. Lots of nightlife.
It does rain a lot, but that is why everything is so green. And you don't have to shovel rain.
It is more expensive than other places, but fairly typical for a city.
I say, come to Vancouver and experience it! |

its amazing - I was there twice this year. Everything you want is there - BC is the best province in Canada - If I could afford to move there I would. People are so easy going. It is not corporate fast paced toronto ot redneck cowboy alberta. The weather is great - no swealtering summers or bone breaking winters like in ontario or any other province. Just nice - cool and fresh - there is a lot of rain there |

Very clean city in idyllic setting--mountains, ocean, islands offshore. It has a high level of culture, art galleries, theatres, symphony and opera, libraries all over the place. For the sports fan, there are two fairly new covered arenas.
Vancouverites read more books than people in any other city in Canada.
It's expensive to live there. Domestic architecture is atrocious, and drivers are rude and impatient. There are no free ways in the city so there are massive traffic jams during rush hour.
Good public transit system.
Nice climate, beautiful gardens and parks. Good schools. |

Just about the same as most other cities. However the weather tends to be more temperate because of the warmer winds off the Pacific Ocean. Hardly any snow falls during the winter, it's mostly rain. Spring comes early, about the middle of March. Very hot temperatures during summer are rare. |
