There is also, I believe, outside Toronto, not so much 905 but 905/289.
There was a time when folks in Mississauga and Markham needed to use only 7 digits while Torontonians had to use 10.
Why they couldn't divide the 905 into a 905 zone and a 289 zone
---as 905 had only been around for 10 years
---so people in those areas could keep using just 7 digits in their area goes beyond me. |
