What is the Egyptian community in Canada like?

I read all the answers and it is amazing to see that not many know about Egyptians in Canada! . . .

The vast majority of Canadian Egyptians are Christians, some are Muslims and few are Jewish, Baha'i or atheist. . . Larger communities could be found in the city of Saint Laurent near Montréal and in the city of Mississauga near Toronto. . . The number of Egyptians in Canada is small compared to other nationalities, you do not meet them very often, and if you want to see a whole punch of them at once, just go in a Sunday morning to an Egyptian Church!. . . .

They integrate well in the Canadian society, however, the vast majority of them including the Canadian-born seldom let go their oriental manners and morals. . . . Intermarriages with other ethnicities are rare but they happen, and unlike the Egyptians in Egypt those in Canada get divorced in some cases! . . . .

Feel free to ask about any aspect that you want to know more about :-))))))))

Well, I'm no expert, but to the best of my knowledge it exists of cartoon men with crewcut black hair, exaggerated winks and half-smiles standing in front of pale blue backdrops.

My guess is they're pretty nice, just like the rest of the Canadian citizenry.

One of my cousins (American) married an Egyptian, and he is a funny, smart guy. Good folks, the Egyptians.

Small, inconspicuous, and usually found in the larger cities.
Canada is a multicultural country in the fullest sense of the word. There are communities in Canada, from almost every nation in the world. Many have their own schools, their own shopping district, and even their own malls, depending on how large the community is. It's fun to visit the different communities -- almost like going to visit a different country. But they are also loyal Canadians.
