DramaGuy-- the city of Vancouver is not on Vancouver Island. Don't ask me why. But yes, the city of Vancouver (which is on the mainland) is pretty much at or just above sea level, since it's a major shipping port.

That's too broad to answer.
There are mountains and flat land. Which part of Vancouver do you want the altitude of.

DramaGuy
Part has to be at sea level since it's largely an island.

mulldacity
Mostly sea-level. I'm working right now at Burrard @ Dunsmuir, and I can see the inlet. And that connects to the sea. So. Sea-level. :D

coogle
it's probably at sea level or so

The altitude of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 4 feet above sea level.

I think you mean elevation. Altitude is for planes.

Most of it is just above sea level however, Richmond, a suburb, is below sea level and surrounded by dykes in case of flooding.
