highway 400 north, turns into highway 69, take 69 to highway 17 witch is the transcanada, the 17 will take you all the way to the manitoba border where it becomes highway 1 ( still the transcanada ), highway 1 will take you all the way to calgary. |

If you're not in a hurry, take the train! I have from Vancouver through Kamloops to Banff, through the Canadian Rockies. Absolutely beautiful! |

That would depend on your financial situation and also on whether it's to be a leisurely trip or if time is a factor.
Airline travel is an option. You can check out various companies....one of which is: www.aircanada.com
As someone already mentioned, train is another option and having done it, I can vouch for it being a wonderful way to see Canada!

Try the Trans Canada highway. We do have highways in Canada that go aaaaalllllll the way across the country, we dont travel through the US to get from west to east |

I really suggest taking the train, sit back, relax, let someone else take care of the driving. It is surprisingly inexpensive, and you can get on and off at any magor city. If the train is not an option, the trans canada highway also provides a really leisurely driving experience and some great scenery. |
