What is the first thing to come to mind when you hear Prince Edward Island? |
Hello, i've lived on Prince Edward Island for all my life. I am curious what people outside of PEI (or from PEI if you like) think if the Island. As for me, something i find notable on PEI is the lack of sky scrapers (our soil is too soft for proper foundation) and lack of divided high ways with off ramps and such.

A purple cottage, on the Prince Edward Island shore of the Northumberland Strait. The moon full and high in the sky, it's reflection shimmering on the waves as they crash on the sandstone at my feet.
The night is warm and the water's salty mist feels so fresh on my face. I walk down into the water and i can still feel that sand beneath my feet...

yes i was going to say potatoes and anne of green gables.
also the beaches, the sea food and fish&chips, cuz thats what we had when we were there.
there really isn't much to do there but thats why I like it because you can just lie on the beach all day nd not worry about a thing.
and the sand is nice and red. |

The first thing that comes to my mind is that PEI looks hauntingly like the surface of Mars. Actually, northwestern New Brunswick has that same Martian look, too.
I do not think of Anne of Green Gables, unless she has antennae sticking out of her head, says 'meep' ,'meep' a lot and offers to blow up the Earth because it obstructs her view of Venus. Potatoes? Not unless Martians enjoy them.
