well, fist you need to look in a phone book if there is any jobs available in winnipeg or just look on the internet but if your asking what to bring here is my answer:phone book (well, there should be one on the plane)
laptop (don't really need one but in case you want to learn about winnipeg)I guess thats all
Ummm, well, actually if you are applying for jobs then you don't really need a phone book...you just need to get out there and apply, some jobs are advertised in the newspaper. There are always jobs and not too hard too find.
If you are moving from another province you will need to apply for a Manitoba Health Card. Another thing I would do is learn Winnipeg's major routes, (like where the malls are, grocery stores in your area etc).

Find some friends. Don't go out alone at night. Live in Osborne Village--it's cool and has a low crime rate.
Jobs are easy to find--good jobs, not so easy.

All I can say about Winnipeg is it gets super hot in the summer and the mosquitoes are HUGE. Winters are cold with alot of snow (but I enjoyed winters there) Send me an e-mail if I can help you in anyway.
