Snake - what about Bermuda being part of the UK?

The border is largely just the Parallel but in the east is is mostly lakes and rivers which divide the countries

nightowl_2134
Canada IS part of the continent of North America.

North America consists 3 seperate countries: Canada, United States of America, and Mexico.

And somebody else already answered how these borders are so I won't say it again!

Technically nightowl is wrong. North America consists of 5 countries. France(two islands off the coast of Newfoundland), Denmark(Greenland is part of north america), Canada, usa and Mexico.

It's not a physical border, but the 48th parallel of latitude.

Canada is in North America and it does have a border the 49th parallel, here's a link for two of the borders. Lewiston, NY into Ontario and the new brunswick one

Canada is IN North America; there is no border.
There is a border between Canada and the US; it is merely political, no physical border.

acording to wikepedia:

Canada and the United States of America share the longest common border in the world. Officially known as the International Boundary, it is generally unmilitarized. The terrestrial boundary (including small portions of maritime boundaries on the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic coasts as well as the Great Lakes) is 8,891 kilometres (5,522 mi) long, including 2,477 kilometres (1,539 mi) shared with Alaska.

The border cuts Lakes Superior, Huron and Erie in half.
The Only one of the GREAT lakes wholly in the USA is Lake Michigan.
One of the border crossings is at SSM in the U.P of Michigan State.
This is a 3 mile long bridge over the St Mary river and Soo Locks.

When Britain controlled the New England states. The french controlled Canada. These two countries agreed that Sth of the 48th parallel was british and Nth french. When France tried to insist that as they also controlled the land west of the Mississippi. That should be the boundry.Britain agreed that this territory was french but not part of Canada. As it was Louisiana. Two separate territories.Hence Napoleon was able to sell Louisiana to the US.
