I'll answer backwards:

Best in which to live, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED: (1) Montreal, (2) Vancouver, (3) Toronto

Most expensive: Yellowknife

Most physically beautiful, including surroundings: (1) Banff, Alta, (2) Whistler, BC, (3) Abbotsford, BC, (4) Vancouver, BC
Most architecturally beautiful: (1) Victoria, BC, (2), Montreal, (3) Quebec City

Montreal City - because it has that "old world charm" that I so love
Vancouver - where $500,000 has become the norm for a 2 bedroom apartment
Toronto - because it has the best job opportunities, night life, and cultural activities

Cheers,

Petra

I like Ottawa a lot. Montreal is fabulous, however.

It really depend on your taste in cities. Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa are all beautiful in a historic way, Vancouver has the mountains as a backdrop. Yellowknife at minus 30 in the middle of the winter under the northern lights will take your breath away. Walking the tree lined streets of Charlottetown in the summer is another kind of beauty. Catching sight of Calgary with the Rockies towering beyond as you approach from the east. So many choices as a long haul trucker. For most beautiful overall, I have to go with Vancouver. For most expensive, Vancouver again. Best city to raise a family, go with Charlottetown, best for work, Edmonton, Calgary. Must see cities should include Montreal and Quebec.

Ive driven through BC and Alberta so my cities are from there alothough I do know that the most expencive city in all of Canada is: Vancouver B.C.

The most beautiful city I think is Kamloops B.C. It has wonderful scenery and all around very neat and clean.

The best Canadian city would have to be Lethbridge Alberta as it is very clean and neat looking and still very cheap to live. It has every thing you need there and is very beautiful.

Most Beautiful - Vancouver BC, Banff AB
Most Expensive - Vancouver BC, Toronto ON

Best - Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec etc.
(Best can mean many things, so I just listed all the big cities.)

ben_of_marlow
1. Banff. Montreal is very pretty too.
2. Probably Toronto.
3. Calgary.

Calgary is quite close to Banff, by the way.
