Contact the Canadian Embassy - do not know where you live but if you google you will find it - I emigrated to Canada once and just went through the embassy in Manchester UK - no problem whatsoever - they will send all paperwork out to you with guidelines on how to complete forms, return forms and they will then ask you to attend their immigration office for interview - no need to use Lawyers/Consultants etc it is easy to prepare yourself but must say that rules are stricter now and you have to prove that you can support yourself/have employment to go to - this job as to be proven that a Canadian cannot have this employment etc - booklets and forms will explain all rules/regulations/qualifications to immigrate etc
Good luck - great country to live in ! (only moved from there due to personal reasons)

Different province has different regulations. If you are a student, you'll probably need a degree or masters from any university provided that you earn a job accordingly to your certificate.
The other way is to invest some amount of money to the government. Lowest price was quarter million canadian dollar. This again refers to different province.
If you are working, just apply for a professional position as to your certificate and if the company is kind enough, they will handle everything for you.

Fill out the Permanent Resident immigration paperwork from the government, it's easy and you don't need a lawyer to do it.

Well being Canadian, and having just spoken to Immigration Canada about getting my husband over- The ways you can do it are by going and being a student. You cannot work, but you can study. You can apply to work on campus, or you can go in as a worker, but you will need to have a job offer, and the employer needs to send you a letter confirming this job offer and he/she also needs to write to the human resources to confirm that you are not taking a job from a Canadian. you can also look on the canadian job bank website for jobs that might apply to you. Look here for more answers www.cic.gc.ca
So I hope that helps, either the above or find yourself a nice canadian girl to marry!
