The term "southern Canada" is used to mean the parts of the country near the US border. "Southwestern Ontario" or more rarely "peninsular Ontario" is the southernmost area. Point Pelee is the most southerly part of the Canadian mainland and Middle Island (not Pelee Island -- common mistake) is the southernmost part of Canadian territory.
