Street gang territory in East-End Montreal: Montreal-North, St-Michel, St-Leonard, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (just south of the Olympic Stadium, i.e. biker war zone). The poorer the neighbourhood, the tougher, and these are really poor neighbourhoods. |

If the murder rate is any indicator of how tough a place is then Saskatoon wins hands down. And Regina is right behind it.
Jim B. Toronto. |

Hamilton is just a dirty city.
Some areas of Toronto are pretty tough, nothing compared to places in LA, Mexico City, Johannesburg or other major cities. |

Hamilton? NO way. Its just one big dirty ghetto where the people think they are hard. Toughest, I would have to say anywhere in Manitoba. Native gangs are running rampant there. Take a "tough" guy from Hamilton, drop him off in the middle of a government Native housing complex, and he wouldn't last a day. But, same could be said for dropping the Native gangsta off in Compton. |

Vancouver. It is like, half foreigners from Asia, and there are loads of street gangs. I'm sorry that of all the cool cities in Canada like Calgary or Toronto, they had to pick Vancouver for the Two Thousand Ten Olympics. |

setting aside communities in Nunavut and NWT, I'd say Regina or Winnipeg. |
