What is the weather like in Toronto, Canada in December?

You never know what any particular week will be like. It could be mild and the snow will be melting or it could be cold and icy. I would bet on cold in December. And it is humid there so I would take some wool sweaters. It also depends on if there is a wind. I was there at the end of November once and with the humidity and a wind coming off the lake, I thought I was going to freeze (and I come from the prairies where it gets very cold). So I would also take some kind of a ski jacket that could break the wind.
So, some sweaters, a windbreaker/ski jacket, good socks and gloves at least.

actually, last december, we didnt even get snow! We had to wait until mid january to get snow. at its worst, the snow is quite thick, so thick you cannot see from one block to another block and at most, -30 adding in wind chill factor. usually i go for an undershirt+sweater+a winter jacket+gloves and a hood. once it got pretty bad so i wore 2 coats, most days, its not that bad, just normal winter gear is fine

depends.. last winter it didnt snow in december i dont think, i think it was pretty warm for december in toronto. it really changes but its cold.

it depends on the day and week, sometimes its super cold and sometimes its warm and youre like YES SPRING IS HERE then its a blizzard the next day.

Well, yes you will need warm clothes - winter coat, hat and gloves will be needed. But I remember a Christmas day about 6 years ago and my dad wore a t-shirt and cut the front lawn. So you never know what the weather will be like!

It varies. Sometimes you think it's going to snow alot, then it goes for only 10 minutes. Sometimes its freezing,sometimes it's hot enough you take off your jacket and just keep on your mitts and sweater(s). You just have to wear major winter attire or carry it with you in case. The weather man doesn't know anything about Canadian winters,lol.

Actually live in TO, it could get quite cold as in below 10 but for years now we havent been getting much snow at all. It will def be winter coat weather. Put it this way we havent had a white christmas in years. Unfortunately there are off days that are pretty bad but if your downtown you wont notice as the buildings block it away.

Its not cold...its VERY cold...wear lots of layers
