Nice, it's the best time of summer.
It will probably be humid but Quebec is no tropical forest so don't be too worried about that.
The temperature will probably be around 27-30 Celsius (80-86 Fahrenheit) but it could go as low as 20 C or 68 F.
Mostly, it should be sunny. Thunderstorms and torrential rains are common but they rarely last more then half an hour.
All in all, a great time to visit! |

It's very warm and humid. From 30°C and up. Last summer the weather was hard to bear. Very humid. |

Hot and humid, usually, with the occasional 20minute thundershower that comes raging in and then passes quite quickly.
Here are the MIN and MAX temperatures for the first week of August in the last few years. The temperatures are in Celsius, so to get Fahrenheit, just double the value and add 32 to get an approximate value. (example: 28C = 28 + 28 + 32 = 88F)
2006 13C 34C
2005 15C 32C
2004 12C 28C
2003 18C 30C
2002 12C 32C
The mean temperature for all of August was around 20C (72F) |

Generally, and contrary to mythology, Canada is not a frozen iceberg and certainly not in Montreal or Quebec City.
First half of August?
VERY hot
VERY humid
Bring sunscreen (a lot) and bring bug spray (a lot) |

Warm at around 20 to 25 Celcius.
Hot at around 26 to 35 Celcius.
Very Humid and Sunny so try to get a mini fan while walking.
Don't forget to bring an Umbrella when it rain at times.
If you want to enjoy summer in Montreal, come in July. |

July and August are the hottest months in Canada. Being an island Montreal can and usually is very humid. |

May, June and September are better months. July and August are hot and humid. |

Usually mostly lovely although there can be some hot days. But SteveN and M.M. and Hamish MacHamish vastly overwarn about the humidity. There are indeed some humid days but nothing compared with a few hundred kilometres south of here or even Philadelphia and New York City. And Hamish MacHamish's claim that as a (large rivers surrounded) island Montréal gets even more humid is pure poppycock - like the rest of the southeastern part of North America Montréal's more humid summer days are caused by Gulf of Mexico and sub-tropical Atlantic moisture being pumped around the western side of the "Bermuda High" waether system. |
