What part of Canada - I believe Canada is larger than the entire United States.

Depends on which part of Canada you're going. Directly north would be the same time, eastern part would be the same time as the eastern part of the US and the western part would be the same as the western US.

depends where in canada

time differences aren't north to south - they are east to west

CanTexan
Texas is Central Standard (now Daylight) Time.

Newfoundland is in it's own zone (Texas + 2.5)
Atlantic Canada is another zone including everything east of Quebec except Newfoundland and is (Texas + 2)
Quebec and Ontario up to the Lake Superior western edge is Eastern Time (Texas +1)
Western Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, and Nunavut are Central Time (Texas + 0)
Mountain Time occurs in Alberta and the Northwest Territories (Texas - 1)
Pacific Time is for British COlumbia and the Yukon Territory (Texas - 2)

Hey answerer's, what about our famous "Rock"? Time difference ranges from -2.5 to +2 for Texas. For the questioner, no matter how far you are from the Texas state line, any two points in Canada can be 20 times as far apart. We are the second largest country on the planet. If a few more states secede from Russia, we will become the largest.

anywhere from none, -2, +1 hours depending on where you are going in canada

It depends on what part of Texas/Canada you're speaking about. The time there is similar to it here in that the US and Canada are in a lot of the same time zones.

Here's some sites about time differences. Look up the place in Texas and the place in Canada that concerns you and you'll get your answer:
