Show all answers

SaskAries
English most common language in SK followed by Cree as the 2nd most common (Woods, Plains and Swampy are the different versions of Cree spoken) and then Dene(Chipewyan) which is the second most common First Nations language and 3rd most common language spoken in Sask. Followed by French. and German

You also have Saulteaux(Plains Ojibway) Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Chinese etc the list can go on and on.

We pretty much have every language spoken in Sask, but the most common are the ones I told you at the beginning.

In my house we speak English and Cree

Willster
Probably 97% of all conversations take place in English. In northern and First Nations communities, there is still considerable use of traditional languages, notably Cree and Dene. French is spoken in a few rural centers like Gravelbourg and Henribourg and also in the francophone communities of Regina, Saskatoon and MooseJaw

English mostly. Then Ukrainian and first nations languages. Then a whole lot of other languages in the cities.

Gene D
English, then Cree, then French, then German, and Ukrainian are the top 5.

The 2 official languages in Canada are English and French. I wouldn't be surprised to find that at least a couple hundred other indigenous and international languages are spoken as well.

old lady
Depending on where you live, English. French is the next most common language, followed by Slavic languages - Russian, Ukrainian and Polish and then by German. .
