The way you can tell the difference between Americans and Canadians is that Canadians say aboat instead of about and they say "eh?" at the end of their sentences. There are a few other subtle differences, especially between different dialects.

i notice that in Canadian accents they always pronounce the "ow" sound "uw" ...if you get what i mean. Other than that I dunno...but i can always tell when someone is Canadian somehow... lol.

I'm Canadian and sometimes I have difficulty telling.
Well, no. I don't. But only if they're from certain states. People from the south, or from the New-England area, I find, have distinct accents. I can tell a New Yorker from a Canadian.
But for the rest of it - the Western and Norther US and Canada largely sound the same. It's only on certain words (like 'roof' which I find Canadians say as Rewf and Americans say as Ruff) or in mannerisms.
Anyway. In short. She's from Nashville in the USA.

She's a Southerner (of the U.S.), as she is from Tennessee. Southern accents tend to have fuller vowels and "northern" accents have flatter vowels.
