Depending on where in Ontario you live, you may be interested in driving to Buffalo and styaing at the Darien Lakes theme park. If you are in Ontario, why not head up to Wasaga beach or Collingwood? Beaches and lots of non beach activities too.
Or head to Toronto and take in the festivals and museums. Ottawa is always a fun time too.
Head to Niagara Falls.
Not sure how far you consider driving distance, but the maritmes is always a great vacation and it isn't that far.
