Hey.. ive answered this same type of question to someone before and i think it helped them. soo here

There is alot to do outside and inside calgary

PLaces in Calgary:
-C.o.p *(Canada olympic park)(( skiing, snowboaring, cross country skiiing) open all winter.
-Calgary tower- Great View!*can see all of city(almost)
-Saddle Dome. if u like hockey u can watch the calgary flames or calgary hitmen play-good teams, Flames-- awesome team! ( u can also see a concert)
-Calgary Telus of Science (aka. Science Centre)- its really cool there-- there is soooo many fun activites for kids and adults to do there. went there almost every year in elementry
-Movie Theatres! SUGGESTED MOVIE THEATRE----- Empire Studio 10. ( located on Macleod trail)) Its a really nice and decorated theatre, it has a fun aRcade too!
-South centre mall and Chinook Mall. Chinook mall is much larger and it located alittle more in the north. iit has a "Merry gO Round" in the food court. Fun for kids. Southcentre is located more south of calgary.
--CALGARY STAMPEDE ---- IT IS ON DURING JULY FOR 1 1/2 WEEKS. it so much fun and there is a amusement park set up beside the saddle dome area. lots of singers come and sign at the Coca-Cola stage witch is located at the same area where the Fair( rides and amusement ) is. THERE IS ALSO A RODEO and fireworks every night!!:) there is also ONE calgary stampede parade around the time when the Stampede starts, The parade is located in Downton Calgary!!:)

-- Beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains!
--- Located in the mountains are more than 10 skii resorts ( ex. Sunshine, Lake Louise, Nakiska etc.)
- Banff national park( includes lots of shopping and events. Has a famous Natural Hot Springs!<3 Very nice!!.. Love to go there all the time):P
-Calaway Park ( Amusement Park)) it is realy fun to go there .. it has alot of fun rides! I dont get sick of going there. i get a season pass every year! Loads of fun:)
------Many camping resorts if you like camping.. in the moutains( 1 etc. Mount Kidd.))**(( Named after a mountain)
- Edmonton is located almost 3 hours north! lol!
-- Sylvan Lake is a fun place to go.. but its like 2 hours away! BUT IT HAS A REALLLLLLY FUN WATER PARK!!!!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF REALLY FUN WATER SLIDES LOCATED RIGHT BE SIDE THE ENORMUS LAKE THAT U CAN WATER SKII ON, TUBING, BOATING ETC!!!!
------ Okotoks is located 15mins south. it is a small town that doesnt have much to do.. but its cool to go there and have a look around..
--Canmore located in the mountains.. its a litttttle town. lots of shopping sorrounded by mountains.. also kinda located on a mountain.lol
--I hope you have fun in Calgary and Area because right now i cant think of anything else:):):):):)

* theres the calgary tower. that has a beautiful veiw of the city at nite and daytime. it also has a restaurant inside. BEAUTIFUL!!!
* theres the calgary stampede if u go in the rite time of the year. thats really cool to go to if u dont mind a lil western.
* the calgary zoo is very nice...it has a wide variety of animals to look at.
* if you go during hocke season ou can see the calgary flames play...they r AWESOME.
* theres aso downtown calgar...you can find stores of every kind and little nick-nacks of every sort. i really do recommend that you go downtown.
* also the restaurantes are awesome..chinese (go to china town...really cool) italian (go to little italy) and just plain ones.

I LOVE CALGARY! And if you ever get bored you can always go to the West Edmonton mall which is a drive away. Also plenty of outdoorsy things to do as well. Do you like Camping. All in all there are plenty of things to do within Calgary city limits. Fine arts, night life, dinning, etc.
