Head to Lake Louise for their horse-drawn sleigh ride - it's just beautiful!
There are dog sled tours, skiing, gondola, Calgary Tower, Tyrell Musuem in Drumheller. Lots of stuff to do. |

Take them to Banff and Lake Louise for a day. The mountains are gorgeous during the winter. Make sure the roads are good, though, first, and that you have a reliable. vehicle. Skiing is great, if they are athletic. If not, it's nice to just to look and take pictures.
You could take them up the Calgary Tower. They can have a nice, though expensive, meal in the revolving restaurant while they look out across the city. Or, just go to the viewing deck if you'd rather not eat there.
For shopping, I would recommend Chinook Mall, on Macleod Trail. It has a unique Food Court and many shops. |

ice skating, skiing, bobsledding, horseback riding, take them on a tour of the Rockies up near Jasper, to see the Glaciers, even though the roads may be snowy or icy just drive with care. visit banff in winter and go on a Sunday, have brunch At the Banff springs hotel. OR go to Nakiska Lodge up on highway 1 west on the Indian reserve, for Sunday brunch( if they still do it) that's really nice too.
I'm sure they will be impressed no matter what you do, just make them feel welcome. |

Skiing is popular; there are resorts an hour's drive west of town. |
