Hasting Street????? That is where the prostitutes and junkies hang out...... If you go to MLS.ca you can check out homes and Prices for all of BC..... I personally LOVE Langley, BC..... Have lived here many years (as well as other places) It is more than just a place to live it is a community, the city provides numerous things for families to do throughout the year...(Parades, Huge July 1st event at Langley Airport that is FREE.) Schools are well supervised and neighbours are all friendly and lookout for each other.... Like all city's it does have its troubled areas like downtown Langley. But if you live anywhere in the township or the perimeter of the city it is Great.... You can also contact each city to send you information on what is around....... Note: Burnaby and Richmond are mostly Asian communities...... Surrey, Delta and Abbotsford are East Indian/Punjabi..... Other cities Like Langley, Cloverdale, Vancouver, Aldergrove,. Coquitlam and Maple Ridge are Mixed cultures.... Hope this helps |

Kitsilano and North Vancouver are one of the safest neighbourhoods to raise a family in. They also have a great public transportation system and some of the best schools and places of business.

If you have the money, then Kitsilano is a great place for kids. Coquitlam also has many kid-centred services. |

Definably North Van, but if you don't mind the drive I love Squamish, you get the best of both worlds, the large city close and the great outdoors. So you can go hiking, then go to the city to buy goods etc. Plus you have options for schools in that area-and the privacy of the outdoors. |

I'd recommend Kitsalano and Point Grey which are adjacent to each other. They are both on the expensive side, which is basically true for all of Greater Vancouver, but they are reasonably open air oriented and safe, with an abundance of activities for all. There is even a forest, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, in Point Grey.
Both arewithin an easy drive (or bus ride) to downtown. |

I was born and raised in the Aldergrove/Abbotsford area and it is wonderful for families.I love the city but for me just a little too busy to live in but I know there are great places for families there as well.Aldergrove /Langley/ Abbotsford are more farm type areas if you are looking for that kind of area,if you want closer to the city I would say Coquitlam/White Rock/Kitsilano. |

Burnaby is excellent. Rates are good and access to all local services. Perhaps Richmond as a close second.
Look at both as they are fine places to enjoy life. |
