I would suggest bringing a variety of clothing, warm clothing, and then maybe some tee's . The weather is always all over the place! One day it snows and its -30 couple days after that its just above freezing. We recently had a few warm days. Getting cold again! And snowing :(

go ducks!
well usually in canada its cold and then in may it randomly gets hotter. so bring summer and winter clothes.

jeans, long and short sleeved shirts, a jacket (not down), shorts might be needed in May

It won't be hot, that's for sure. Bring long and warm pants, coats, even gloves. But also bring some warmer spring material also.

So Rah-Sha-Sha!
Bring your winter and spring fashions. You might get a warm day or two in May.

Today is Feb 20, and it's still snowing... and still cold... we are still wearing downs or jackets, and some people dress snowpants or so... boots for sure...

but it's saying that spring is coming in 4-5 weeks from today, and might get warmer, but you still need to dress us warm in the early spring... but indoor is ok, one or two pieces are enough, that's what you wear in May outdoor i guess (one t-shirt and one outfitter or jacket or so).

I live in downtown Toronto.

March can be quite chilly and mixed, be sure you have a warm coat for those days and nights. I've seen the temprature from 5 degress Celcius to 15 degrees Celcius (Centigrade).

March winds bring April showers that bring May flowers.

April is usually quite pleasant, however there is no guarantee, you will still need a light jacket. Temps are from 5 to 15 degrees or thereabouts.

May? Everyone falls in love here, as they've been hibernating (kidding).
Its very pleasant, you'll love it.
Good luck in your studies.
;-)
