Canadians like Disneyland and Florida too much to not be friends.
You don't have all the facts. If I keep lobbing rockets into the middle of your picnic, you are going to get a little ticked when I spill your lemonade. You are going to come over the fence to get me after I have ignored your warnings and pleas.
It's way past time Israel began to defend it's people.

It's not like we have any say in what the government does about attacks. Whatever "President Obama" wants to do is what happens, end of question. |

I'm afraid you do not have your facts straight and your analogy is a bit skewed.
First, the kidnapped soldiers...They were on the Israeli side of a wall built to avoid conflicts, and the kidnappers dug tunnels under the wall to go in and commit the crime of kidnapping. I was following the news quite closely at that time and remember that the peace talks were actually progressing until that event took place.
Second, what would happen if Americans fired some rockets over the border in to Canada? Canada would definitely be upset. We would register a complaint with USA. We would expect USA to investigate the incident and find those responsible for the attack, and bring them to justice. And we would expect the rockets to stop.
If USA did nothing and allowed the attacks to continue, then we probably would get the United Nations involved to try and sanction USA for their actions.
And of course, if the attacks still continued, Canada might launch a few rockets or missiles of their own or send in a few planes or tanks to target the buildings and areas where we suspect the rockets are originating from.
Does that sound familiar? Israel warned Hamas to stop and asked the Palestinians to enforce the law by stopping the rocket attacks. The attacks continued. You cannot expect a country to restrain itself indefinitely as it keeps getting attacked by terrorists. Because that is what the rockets were doing, not killing people necessarily but causing Israeli's to fear to go to work or to go outside, or go near their windows.
I do not necessarily agree with the amount of force that Israel uses to resolve their conflicts, and they have made several mistakes in their time, such as building new houses in a contested area, but there is no dispute in my eyes who is at fault in this case. As long as Hamas refuses to acknowledge Israel as a country, and insist that the Jews must be obliterated from the map, it is impossible to have any agreements.
Read your Qu'ran and tell me anywhere in there where it says that if a man does not share the faith of Islam, you should fire rockets at him and try to kill him. That is only the teachings of a few extremists who interpret the recitation in a way that suits them so they can retain power over others.
We had the same issue in the middle ages in Christianity. It was called the Crusades. It was wrong at that time and it is still wrong today. |

First off, the Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah, were in Israel at the time. Hezbollah stated this, but of course it was in defiance of the Zionist entity, so feel free to eat it up. Even though Hezbollah captured the Israeli soldiers in Israel, knowing full well what it would lead to, and was willing to take the punishment, as the rest of the world would side with them. Horrible Israel. Honorable Hezbolllah.
Secondly, if Canada were to bomb any place in the U.S., it would have been a mistake. Canada relies too much on the U.S. in regards to its economy and exports. Over 80% of Canada's exports go to the U.S. They would apologize, we would accept their apology, and that would be the end of it. |

We'd pick up the bomb, arm it, and then send it back. They don't know how to use bombs. |
