Whats the easiest way to go about moving to Canada?

I live in the US and my boyfriend lives in Canada. We've been traveling back and forth for over year now and feel its time for me to move. Im not to sure if he could sponsor me because were not married,or common law married. Is getting married the answer? Im open to ideas.

As a boyfriend he can't sponsor you...not even as his common law partner (you have to be together 1 year with no breaks or interruptions in between to be considered a common law partner).

Marriage will not speed up the immigration process...if anything it will actually lengthen the process as immigration is very strict but that doesn't mean you couldn't get married....it's just going to take a little bit longer. Timetable for processing the spousal application on their website is 6 months but it took a year for mine to be approved as they had to verify whether the marriage is genuine and not of convenience. Aside from that, it took over a year for us to gather all documents to prove that the relationship is genuine.

You can apply as a skilled worker but you have to qualify: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp Scroll down close to the bottom and look for the "eligibility tool".

Other than that, you can apply in the Self-Employed, Entrepreneur and Investors category but this requires years of experience and loads of money.

Only family, or an employer, could sponsor you.

You could get married, but that will NOT speed up the immigration process. And your marriage will be subject to scrutiny to ensure it is not a marriage of convenience.

You still need to go through the same channels for immigration as anyone else.

Getting married is NOT the answer. It will not improve your chances of being able to move to Canada and, in fact, will arouse a lot of suspicion within immigration officials. They may see your marriage as one of convenience and as a way of cheating the system.

Do you qualify to immigrate? Do you have a job offer here? A university degree in something like medicine, engineering or in any of the other fields for which there is a demand? If not, then your chances are not that great.

My friend was in an identical situation. When she applied to move here after they married, it took her months, and tons of cash to get through it all. She said the questioning and interviews are long and difficult. They want to make sure it's not a marriage of convenience.

The easiest way is to loan the government $400,000 at %0 interest for five years.

Otherwise you need to be skilled or educated.

.
there's no easy way, u have to apply for immigration like all foreigners wanting to come to Canada...
