Lots to do in Nelson. It's a really neat place, situated near a beautiful lake, so there are all the water sports and boating things. And of course, tons of hiking, walking, biking, and in season, skiing. But most of all, Nelson is an arts and culture center. There is a wonderful range of artists and craftsmen there. Also music of all sorts. It's quite an international community as it is a popular site for overseas students to attend to learn English, and of course, it has a first rate college.
Lots of nice pubs. Not a whole lot of night clubs, because it isn't that kind of place, but you won't be bored by Nelson. It is vibrant!! |

There is a nightclub of sorts(I think it's called fluid), but I think that it would suck in comparison to clubs in the city! I think if you were looking for places to go clubbing nelson is the last place you should go!

We have great friends that live in Nelson. It is a great town. Beaches, pubs, showhall, etc. There are lots of great little shops. We love visiting Nelson and have never been bored there. |
