When booking accommodations do you use thrid party websites or do you prefer to book directly with hotel? |
For example, do you prefer to book through expedia or marriott.com. Or would you use a "portal" website that states you can get deals or go directly to the hotel of choice? |

Book dfirectly through the hotel. They knwo for sure how many rooms they have for sale. Third parties may book a block of rooms, but may run out just as you are hitting send, someone else it too. Not only that sometimes hotels run there on promos, that are not on expedia. Not too mention some of those places instil fees that they do not advertise for finding you the price.
This comes from the expedia website:

At least when you call the info line for the hotel or call the hotel direct you can ask wuestions pertaining to what you want to know....is the pool open? doing any reonvations? is the city busy this time of year etc.
Good luck!! |

Book directly or use triprewards.com. Usually I find that using the hotel's website or triprewards you get a better deal then other websites. |

Use a Travel Agent. We can search various options for you and we know where to look. Unless you find searching online for hours fun, it's silly to do it this way.
Amazing what some people value there time at. |

I usually go directly to the hotel. Usually, there isn't that much difference in the price. Plus, logging into the hotel's direct website ensures that I will awarded all the points for staying at that hotel. In the long run, getting all of those hotel points is worth more than trying to save a few bucks. I've been able to earn a lot of free nights at hotels this way. |

I usually look at the sites like expedia or hotels.com to see what they have to offer. When I see the hotel I want I also check that hotesl web site. Usually I can get it cheaper through the hotel site, but sometimes not. You just need to check all resoureces. |

Well, I go a completely different route unless I'm going there during the long weekends or holiday periods such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, March break etc. I just go and find a hotel that looks good and has a cheap price listed on the sign outside. If you drive down Lundy's Lane or Clifton Hill there are a ton of hotels to choose from and then you can also decide if you want to be right were the action is or farther away from it. I'm usually not to worried about the extras the hotels offer since if your in Niagara chances are your not going to spend much time in your hotel, there's just too much stuff to do there. |
