The shoulder seasons. Early June is the best because tourist attractions, restaurants and hotels are fully operational, longer hours and better staffed, but the biggest crowds don't start until families start travel after the kids finish their school year in late June. It is easier to book things, less crowds to deal with and even cheaper if you look for deals. The next best time is September when the kids go back to school.

They are also predicting a slow season this year as they are expecting fewer US visitors. So again, more business trying to attract your patronage through better service and better deals. I have noticed hotels have been cheaper this year in my Canadian travels so far.

Ok, like this is an easy one: it depends upon what you want to see and do: if you want to ski, the best months are January and February. If you want to have a fun time at the beach or sailing or around water, the best time is July and August. If you want to hike and do other active things, September is definitely your best bet, since you can beat the summer heat that way. If you are willing to brave cool nights, the best time to visit the northern parts of the Great White North is May - before the hordes of giant, hungry black flies and mosquitoes come out and make life miserable for man and beast. Finally, if you want to see REALLY nice gardens full of flowers, go to Victoria, B.C. in April.

Any time of the year is best for travel in Canada.
In the west you can play golf all year round, as well as ski.
In the east you can ski in the winter.
