When u travel to canada, do u get a stamp on your passport or a receipt at the canadian border?

no if they check your passport it goes into a computer thats all , no stamp no nothing

In Canada, they usually just look at the passport, they don't stamp it anymore unless you are from a country that requires a visa.

However, if you want them to stamp it for your own souvenir reasons, you can ask them to stamp the passport.

Depends where you're coming from. I have gone to the US and never got my passport stamped coming or going.

Depends on where you are travelling from. If you are comming in from the US, they just use the Passport as an identity document. (In fact, US citizens don't need a passport to get into Canada - but you do need one to get back into the US)

Anyone else gets a stamp and visa.
