Where's a good place to live in Canada?

I'm a young doctor and would like to migrate to canada somewhere next year.
I don't really want a busy bustling city but somewhere closeby is fine (at least a place where i can get essential needs)
I don't speak french (or at least very broken) and I love snow (I want white christmases :) ) but preferably not too cold.
I'm an extrovert and have a good sense of humour so i would like to be around people who are friendly and warm.

I can't decide which place to move to, so please suggest a good place for me. Thanks :)

Welcome in advance, Ingersoll Ont. is one of the friedliest places to live. we sure need more doctors and our hospital is fabulous. the town is small , bul London is inly 20 min. away, and toronto only about an hour away , we are in the snowbelt and allways have white Christmas;s. I hope you chek us out and good luck with your choice.

Bobcaygeon Ontario...Smal beautiful town in the heart of the Kawarthalakes.. 1.5 hrs. north of Toronto, .5 hrs. from new modern hospital in Lindsay. We even have a VIP program to attract new Doctors. Great Lifestyle here, lots of natural beauty, boating skiing, sailing, hiking, swiming etc. Good restaurants and shopping..population of @2500 with big tourist area surrounding. Good services and infrastructure.

Try Alberta. I spent 6 Months in Alberta Canada, and loved it.
The people are very friendly and there is lots of snow.
If you go north about half way, you can see the northern lights on a regulate basis.
the health care system is universal. not by private practice, (this you probably already know) so check it out first.
Edmonton is a clean and friendly city

I am a Canadian Citizen, and i suggest my town as a good place to live. My town is in North-eastern Ontario and is called North Bay. We have a population of about 54 000 and we are currently building a new health centre so that would be perfect for your job.

North Bay is a highly motvated town with extremly friendly people. For you the only downside is that were a french and english speeking town but mostly english.

For the weather, during the winter max temp is about -10 celcious and min. is -35 celcious. Also we get lots of snow. During the summer max temp is usualy about 28 celcious and min temp is about 15 celcious. Our town is right on the lake and it is beutiful here. I suggest you go online and look up North Bay.

Hope this helped you.

p.s. Pardon my vocabulary because i am one of those frenchies!!

The Pacific coast is best for friendliness, weather, and quality of life. You can drive to the snow whenever you are in the mood for it. I would suggest looking at any of the towns on Vancouver Island, or on one of the smaller islands there. Great place to live, especially if you like outdoor activities and super people.
British Columbia is also English speaking, so you really don't need French.

Moncton, New Brunswick area is looking for people like you. You can buy a beautiful home on the beach, a 20 minute highway commute to nearby hospitals for well under $250,000. French would be an asset but not necessary. Winters are reasonably mild, white Christmas is the norm, temperature around freezing , to low 30,s C in the summer. Short flights from area to Montreal, Toronto, eastern U.S., Great area to grow and in need of doctors for sure. Go to mls.ca, click on New Brunswick, click on Moncton/Shediac area. Atlantic Canada known for friendliness and humour.

Well if you go to canada, it will be very cold. i would suggest about 40 mi. north of toronto is a small little town that would be perfect for you. It is close to the city but very small and secluded at the same time. It is close enough to the american border where the people should know proper english in order.
