Where's the best place in Canada? |
and why?
Things to consider are:
Weather/temperature (we're talking june/july)
wildlife
scenery
mountains
things to do
I've heard Jasper or Vancouver in British Colombia are nice but also Toronto and Ottawa on the east side.
Maybe somewhere completely different? |

CGFE get off the soap box troll. Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ont. is a great place to visit, so is Stratford Ont. Both beautiful in the summer, quaint. There's lots of little town that are great to visit - St. Jacobs (near Kitchener), Kingston, the Muskokas north of Toronto, the Thousand Islands is beautiful in the summer (take a drive along the Parkway through Brockville). Tons of festivals throughout the summer, just google Tourism Ontario to find out. Too many other areas in Canada to mention - Every area has great spots - Victoria BC, Banff, Alberta, the East Coast. |

central ontario has it all...beaches, cities, small towns, big lakes, trees. Try Collingwood, we think baby seals are adorable. please dont' listen to some narrow mined, uninformed bigot, that comment by cgf? was like saying ALL Americans are uninformed, narrow minded bigots, and we know that is not true. |

If you want exciting city life, go to Toronto or Montreal. There is lots to do those places. You will probably see the coolest stuff in Toronto (CN tower, etc.). For beautiful scenery you would want to go out west to Alberta and British Columbia. Also, Vancouver is in British Columbia as well so you can get some city excitement into your trip as well. I'm from Toronto but if I could go anywhere else, I would go to British Columbia. |

Saskatchewan is. We've got the hottest economy (ie growing, whereas most other places are shrinking). |

I live in Vancouver.
It's beautiful here.
We have great mountains, a really fun downtown, and tons of parks and such if you're looking for scenery. |

I'd go to BC. I've always wanted to go there and everyone says it's amazing. I have cousins that live in Victoria and the scenery there is incredible.
In terms of Toronto, I personally don't like it. I live about an hour away from there and we go to visit family all the time. If you want to shop, it's a good place to go, but there isn't much scenery. The other thing is, if you chose Toronto, Niagara falls is about 1.5 hours away. You could probably even get a cheaper flight in through Buffalo. The weather in june or july is usually warm (25-35 Celsius). You won't see much wildlife in T.O. or Niagara Falls. If that's a major factor, go to BC. The scenery at Niagara Falls is very nice. We recently spent a few nights at Sheridan on the falls (not sheridan fallsview), and the waterfalls were amazing. In terms of mountains, you won't find them in Ontario. There are always things to do as these are all tourist cities. Shopping, sightseeing, boat rides, etc. If you decide on Toronto, I'd suggest getting a city pass ( http://www.citypass.com/ ). They contain tickets to all kinds of tourist stuff at a discounted price.
In terms of baby seal killing, there's cruelty everywhere. It is not accepted in Canada, but it is done by a few low-lifes. America has its fair share of these people too. Remember Michael Vick. |
