It depends on what type of career you have. Unfortunately, most marketing, finance jobs are in Toronto. While this is a great city and depending where you live you can get some great schools ... it is a big city and thus crime. However, you could live in Burlington which is about 40 minutes from toronto (commute).

Otherwise, my brother lives in Salmon Arm BC and loves it. It is beautiful spot, lots of great stuff for kids to do outside biking, skiing, swimming (lake), canoe etc. However, i´m not sure about jobs. he is a teacher.

i also think ottawa is a good city. There are lots of government and technology jobs and a great standard of living. It is beautiful but cold in the winter. There are lots of green spaces and not that far from Montreal and Toronto (much bigger cities)

calgary is really becoming huge. a lot of jobs and the city is growing.
at this moment housing is a little expensive, but the high wages make up for it

Considering the population of Toronto, the crime rate is really not that high.

Toronto (GTA) and Calgary are the 2 best places.

Everywhere in Canada is the best place to live, depends on what job you are looking for, education is great everywhere in Canada, obviously small towns will have less crine tha a major city.

Any small town in Alberta. With the recent boom, there are not enough people to fill the jobs. Good luck with trying to find a place to live though .....

Ottawa is the best place to live in if you have a family...Ottawa has low crime rate and good schools in every area. Plus the ppl that live in ottawa are very friendly and helpful. When it comes to jobs ottawa has alot of government jobs and tech job, however is not that hard to find a job in ottawa...plus ottawa is very multicultural city...

Scarlet
Try Edmunton or Alberta.
