1. Montreal.
There's work.
You don't need a car.
You can go to school cheap here.
It's fun.
2. Central Alberta
I would have to vote on central alberta. I grew up there, and I miss it greatly. Keep in mind that your from A BIG city, and Red Deer has around 75,000? For me that is a big city, kinda a country bumpkin, so to speak.
Cons
1) Unpredictable weather
2) Alberta depends on the oilfield industry, for the most part.
Pros
1) Lots of work
2) Just the perfect distance from the mountains.
Good luck on your search, and it will interesting to see what other people would put as their favorite place to live.
3. Canmore
- its wonderful, nice and small, plenty of jobs, great people, very effing high cost of living.
4. Edmonton
- due to my employment, if i had a choice it would be Red Deer or Calgary!
Calgary is hard to find affordable living and the cost of things are high!
But the people there are freindly and it is really nice there for scenerey |

i live in Montreal
its nice, cold,
and alot of people speak french. if you have a kid brother, try the West Island. I live downtown, where I grew up. my bff lived in the west island and said it was GREAT. (the west island are suburbs about 25 min. away from downtown)
