I'd say Vancouver and Toronto. Montreal could be included too, I guess.

montreal, toronto are pretty lively, lots of nightlife. Vancouver is also a big city, lots going on , but its lesslively than TO and montreal (if u like nature you'll love vancouver tho)
also banff, alberta in the winter is awesome..lots of fun, it fills up with young travellers all coming to spend the winter there to work and ski...lots of aussies who are always good fun

Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver are generally considered the "big three" whereas Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa are considered the next level. For smaller cities, Quebec City is surprisingly lively in a more historic sort of way - the old city has walkable narrow streets a bit like Boston and claims it has the most restaurants per capita in North America, plus you can view traces of the fort and city walls. Halifax is Canada's traditional port city and contains a lively waterfront, and is the centre of the unique and underrated Atlantic provinces.

neanderthal
vancouver and montreal

Shazam
Toronto, ON. Then Van Covor, BC. I then London, ON is cool.
