Where do I find some good shopping in Vancouver, BC?

I'm going to be in Vancouver for a few days (my first time) and I love shopping and finding unique things. I heard Vancouver is good for this. What are the names of some of the shopping districts?

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an expansive mall, go to Metropolis/Metrotown in Burnaby. If you are looking for a higher end mall, you'll want to shop at Pacific Centre Downtown. There are a few areas for shopping in the downtown core. A more boutique like area with a wide selection. Robson Street has a wide selection of boutique type shopping with stores such as Banana Republic to Armani Exchange. The Alberni corridor has a few higher end shops such as LV, Betsey Johnson and Hermes. Hasting Street has some more of the higher end stuff such as Chanel and a great place called Leone in Sinclair Centre. Finally, a nice shopping area with stores such as Boboli as well as home fashion stores such as William Sonoma and Restoration Hardware can be found on Granville Street between Broadway and 16th.

Robson street is main shopping street, there are many shopping streets close to it ...everything is in heart of downtown..so feel free to get lost there and you will find everything..I like shopping in mall as well..Pacific mall center downtown...or Metrotown in Burnaby..there is skytrain stop, you can ask anybody..and I also loved flea market, some cute staffs there, nice jewelery close to Science world but i think it is open just on Sunday...I am so jealous of you..in good way of course, I love Vancouver, hope to get there soon again.

South Granville is pretty neat, quite upscale--that's between Broadway(9th Ave) and 16th. Commercial Drive has some funky shops, from Venables to just south of Broadway. You might check out the night markets in Chinatown or in Richmond(there are websites) There's also 4th Ave in Kitsilano between Burrard and Arbutus, and Broadway between Macdonald and about Waterloo. There's a big Asian mall, Aberdeen Centre, in Richmond, with a Daiso store which is kind of like an Asian Pier 1. I love it. There's Metrotown which is way too big a mall for me but sure has lots of stores and would be great on a rainy day. You can get there easily on the Skytrain too. Granville Island is interesting, has some good local art, take a bus or one of the little harbour ferries, parking is ridiculous there.

It depends what you like buying.

I like Granville Island (food, cool random objects), The Real Canadian Superstore (cheap everyday food), Commercial Drive (more food), Fluevog (shoes, it's on Granville Street), Robson Street for clothes. Chinatown for fun Chinese things. Army and Navy for random cheap things. Those would be the main ones.
