Canada is over 7400 miles long......

You can go to any Province and be directed to hundreds of sandy beaches too many to name

There are windy beaches, crowded beaches, rocky beaches, lonely beaches, wilderness lakes, blue lakes, green lakes lined with sandy shores

Check out camping Canada, travel Canada............

Have fun swimming!

There are some beautiful bleaches on Vancouver Island, especially in the Tofino area, as well as in Vancouver, in White Rock and Crescent Beach, in Penticton and Kelowna, (all in BC)
There are great beaches in Atlantic Canada too (Nova Scotial, New Brunswick and Newfoundland), and around some of the Great Lakes. There are beaches around Toronto (in Ontario) - there are lots of beaches in Canada that you would enjoy.

Wasaga and Sauble beach, Ontario. You can also try Sandbanks. That's all in Ontario.

Do you know that it's COLD in Canada now? Much too cold to swim or go to the beach. Summer is only really June, July and August. And Wasaga Beach in Ontario is the longest fresh water beach in the world. Beautiful sand. - 30 miles of sand.

The sunshine coast, which is coastal British Columbia. that would cover ocean beaches, as for everything else you may want to narrow it down to a region of Canada, as Canada is large and has many many lakes, river and tributaries which lead to an awful lot of beaches.

Shediac Beach, in Nova Scotia or New Bruinswick. I was a kid when I went there, but it was beautiful... the water is great! Enjoy!

Canada's kind of big (you've probably noticed that) so I don't know how close to your home you are looking to go, but here's one more vote for Wasaga Beach. I went there a lot when I was a kid, and remember catching lady bugs in all colors. There were red, pink, orange, yellow, and green too, believe it or not. It's located kind of in between New York and Michigan, but to the north a bit more.

We went 4 years ago for the first time in 20 years, and most of the village has changed, but the beach is still the same. Great sand, shallow water for quite a ways out, clean - they take great care of the sand. We went in August, and the air was a little chilly, but that could have just been that week. It wasn't too crowded either.

There are cute grocery stores nearby, good restaurants, and plenty of things to do. I checked out www.wasagabeach.com for you, and there is a ton of info there.

Have fun!

Well I can only speak for Ontario, but I have to say Wasaga beach is great, it is the worlds longest freshwater beach. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasaga_Beach
http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/wasa.html

Also Sauble beach is very nice too...
Excerpt from Wikipedia...
At over seven miles long (11km), Sauble Beach is said to be the second longest freshwater beach in the world after Wasaga Beach. A unique phenomenon of sandbar deposits building out along the Huron shore keep the beach at Sauble very shallow and warm, making this a popular destination for families with young children. With the beach facing west across Lake Huron, Sauble Beach is also the site of impressive sunset views that attract photographers and cinematographers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauble_beach

The Pinery Provincial Park ( in Grand Bend)has some nice beaches.... http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/pine-swimming.html

Sandbanks Provincial park... http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/sand.html

Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Most of the West Coast (especially Vancouver Island), and, of course, PEI, and parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick!

Prince Edward Island. hands down. miles and miles of beaches island, get it? on PEI you are never more than 20 minutes from the nearest white sandy beach, and being a small Provence the beaches are never crowed or dirty.

HAPA CHIC
wasaga is too hyped up ...their is a beautiful beach called SANDBANKS!,in Ontario. It is in a national park .And huge.
The sand is white and not brown like Wasaga beach .
Sandbanks boasts three sandy beaches, Outlet Beach, Sandbanks Beach and Dunes Beach, among the largest and most beautiful beaches in Ontario, with golden sand and sparkling water. Windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and boating compete with sunbathing and swimming as favourite park activities
