me m is very wrong. My parents live in New Brunswick and they had snow from October to the end of May this year. it was a record breaking year with over 6 meters of snow (15 feet).
It sucks to live there! |

They don't. They have winter for 3 months, just like everybody else. It just looks like winter for 8 (or more) months at a time in the far northern part. |

Is this a trick question? Winter is a season and the number of days in the winter season do not increase or decrease based upon locations within the country.
There are many places throughout the country (primarily northern parts of the country) where it feels as though winter hasn't ended. That is simply due to an unfortunately cold fall and spring. |

technically it isn't winter up in the high arctic when it is summer down here in the lower part of the country they follow the same seasons that we do just that there might be snow on the ground in the "summer" up there. I've been in the high arctic in June and there wasn't much snow on the ground there (lots of energy in 24hrs of light) and it was getting cooler in September but no snow yet. You might get 7 months of snowy conditions but not 8 months of it.
The other place besides the arctic is at elevation up on the mountains above the tree line there is usually snow. |

Winter is a calendar event. From Dec 21 to April. Weather is a bit different. You can get snow 12 months a year in several areas of Canada. Snow does not mean winter! Likewise areas of Canada rarely ever get snow. Parts of Canada, Like Vancouver, you can snow ski in the morning, golf in the afternoon and go sailing in the evening. |

Actually, Newfoundland, Canada..where i'm from...has winter for about 8 months, maybe not that long but the only summer months we get, or months without snow, is usually only some of may, june, july, august, september. |
