You should come here to Calgary, AB. If you're coming this weekend, you'll be catching the end of the Calgary Stampede, The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. This city is definitely alive at this time of year. Everyone's friendly (more so than usual) and it's just a great atmosphere. When else will you be able to get away with wearing cowboy hats and sitting in bars at noon? =P There's also plenty of other things to see and do; you can ride to the top of the Calgary Tower, go to Heritage Park (a historical village) or take a trip out to Callaway Park. Even if you don't stay in the city, you can drive 1-1/2 hrs North and visit Sylvan Lake, or drive out to Drumheller. All in all, it's a great place. |

Montreal is beautiful. Downtown feels like you just took a step into Europe. Many films are made there for the scenery. There are gorgeous men there too! I know because I married one!! heheee! |

Niagara Falls on the Canadian size is much nicer than the American side. You can see so much more of the falls on the Canadian side.
The city of Hamilton is pretty nice, they have a nice lake front. |

If you're only spending a weekend, you could go to the following:
Toronto:CN Tower, Rogers Centre, great theatres, parks, beautiful waterfront, you definitely can't get bored there.
Niagara Falls: The Falls are beautiful this time of year, and there is plenty to see; the downtown area has lots to do, great places to eat, plus the casino.
Quebec City: Gorgeous city, very old buildings, architecture, great cafe's, and again, lots to do.
Hope that helps! |

Nova Scotia, the north eastern tip above Maine. Beautiful area, i spent a week out there for a vacation last year, and i was the best. We went camping and hiking, so if you enjoy those, than try to find areas to camp and stay. (It's only like $15-20 for a night)
Arcadia national park is nice, as well as the city of Moncton and Halifax. You could go whale watching from Halifax, as i did, although expensive....it's one of those once in a lifetime experiences.
Canada has hundreds of Information centers, unlike America and have helpful people to give maps and plan destanations to go to.
Most of the stuff we did was outdoors type things, like Hopewell Rocks ( A rock formation that you can walk along in low tide...and kayak in during high tide) It's nice to walk around and enjoy nature.
Other than visit local vendors and shops, all we did was play it by ear and go to where-ever we thought looked interesting. Hope you have fun, just look into where you plan to go before you head out, otherwise it may be confusing to travel and plan. |
