Surprisingly you can see the Northern Lights from pretty much anywhere in Canada, as long as you in a dark spot. Your chances are lower of getting a good sight of them the further south you are, but they have been seen. In the North you do have a far better chance.
I actually Live in Prince Albert and the shows we get from the Northern Lights are breathtaking. Enough to give you goosebumps, I can go and stand in my yard and watch them, there truly is not a more beautiful sight.
Not sure if is just me, but they do not seem to be occurring as frequently the past couple of years. |

Ive never seen northern lights better then from Northern Saskatchewan. (Around Prince Albert) I was at a camp there once, and we were in a field around 1/2 am. There were no lights for at least a mile. And the nearest city was 2 hours away. The northern lights were so bright, and they filled the entire sky, I could even read the paper I had in front of me! It was crazy. I've never seen them quite that bright since, but defiantly Northern Saskatchewan was the best. |

Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories is considered one of the best places to view the northern lights. Anywhere in northern BC, Alberta or Saskatchewan will work as well. |

The North?
I used to go to camp in central Ontario, and we could see them from there. I would think, though, that the further north you go, the better the view. |
